The Artists –

++ Jed Rowe ++

Jed Rowe is an acclaimed singer/songwriter and guitarist from Melbourne. His music walks the line between folk, blues and country, and his 4th album “A Foreign Country” is a richly told collection of stories of Australian life. The songs for A Foreign Country were finished in a rented apartment above the street in Northern Germany while Rowe was on tour in late 2016, and recorded in Melbourne by multiple ARIA award winner Jeff Lang.

++ Leroy Lee ++

Enchanting songsmith and guitarist Leroy Lee creates intimate and hypnotic, lamp-lit folk songs, drawing the listener into his unique world.

“I don’t think Leroy is going to be just another ‘man with a guitar’ Australian export, and if you can catch him in a pub or club now, do it; he’s well worth his salt, and incredibly entertaining.” – Liz Elleson, THE AU REVIEW

“A very good songwriter, dedicated to his craft…Leroy’s the real deal”  – LIOR

“I always enjoy hearing Leroy, he has a lovely voice and plays a mean guitar too.” – Jeff Lang

“His songs are like thoughts scribbled in coffee shops. Which coincidentally is where I see him most in my neighborhood.” – Darren Hanlon

++ Sam Newton ++

Sam Newton writes songs that dig deep into melancholy, devotion and flawed and fascinating characters. He has the uncanny ability to find a direct line into the central themes of his songs with a raw and poetic honesty.

Since touring his album ‘Violet Road’ at bars, pubs, festivals around Australia in 2016-17, Newton has already completed recording his third full-length album, due for release in late 2017. Diving further into sweet country melodies and an even greater blending of styles – from Wilco to Ryan Adams, Willie Nelson to Paul Simon, the album is yet another step forward for Newton in the great art of songwriting.
