A week ago, I officially released a new music video for We Can’t See An End In Sight,the first track from ‘Violet Road‘. My good friend Lyn Taylor is the mastermind behind the clip with filming, directing, producing and editing duties.
We shot the video both in Lyn’s studio and on a cold, rainy night in Sydney, at a number of locations around the CBD. I’m stoked with the final result.
On Friday the 16th of September, I am releasing my second album ‘Violet Road’ and will be heading out on the road across 5 states to support its release.
As of today, I am officially half of the way through my February Violet Road Tour. I’ve already had so much fun on tour down the South leg. I’ve met new people to share my music with, recorded a Midnight Sessions song for Lyn Taylor’s Youtube Channel, caught up with old friends, jammed with incredible musicians and played in places that I’d never been before.
On Saturday, I’ll be heading up North with the band. Firstly, to the Roundabout Inn in Gloucester and then up to play 2 shows on the following Saturday and Sunday in Byron Bay at The Rails and Treehouse on Belongil. I can’t wait.
Midnight Sessions: “The Way To Your Heart”
Amongst all of this crazy ‘on tour’ travelling and busy life-stuff, I made time to head over to the very talented Lyn Taylor and Nick Payne from Dear Orphans‘ new place and record one of my new songs as part of their Midnight Sessions Youtube series. The vibe in this room was outstanding. Big Thanks to Lyn and Nick for helping me to create some video content that I can be proud of.
